A medium weight and durability for kids
Obviously, you aren’t sending your kid out to shovel the whole driveway by themselves. So this is a great way to bring it down to their scale and still be very helpful. It is sturdy for kids and heavy duty enough. They can get a good kick out of using this shovel. I like how bright the shovel is. It is just as advertised and a good buy. Dress em up for the cold and get out there to shovel some snow! Plus, to play!
Good small size shovel for kids and emergency use
This is a smaller, and thus, more portable, shovel that can be either used by kids or for carrying around in your car for emergency use. I was positively surprised by the overall quality – it looks like the shaft is pretty sturdy and should hold up to some force (even adults). The handle is on the small side (as the product description states, they are advertising this as for kids), so it might be a bit of an uncomfortable fit for adults, but for emergency usage, this should be fine.
We mainly got this as our son is into trying to help us out when we are digging out our driveway after snow, and for that purpose, this should last us for awhile even as he grows. Overall, we are happy with the overall quality that we see in this shovel so far!
Scoop is an odd shape but fun for kids
A little higher priced than I’d like. The shovel is well made and my girls fight over who gets to use it, so I consider that a win. I think the shape being longer than wide is sort of an odd design choice, but my kids can use it well. This is definitely the most high-quality “kids” shovel we own.
Great way for the kids to help shovel snow
I got this for my 4 year old so he can come out and “”help”” shovel the driveway. This shovel is just the right size for him and is fairly durable. I am not sure it is really worth the price though as it is mostly made of a thick plastic. The shovel does not have any kind of metal reinforced blade/edge. In time I expect the shovel edge to become nicked and worn down because there is no metal reinforcement.
I probably would not suggest this as an emergency shovel for your car though because it does not collapse and if you get stuck with too heavy of snow or ice then this shovel may not work well. My primary purpose for this will be more of a kids play shovel, for which I feel this is adequately suited. Overall I am happy with this shovel and my son loves playing with it.
