Car savior
Where has this been all of my life. Literally a car seat savior. My little mess monster can continue to be messy. And I don’t have to worry about cleaning the seat. Car pads for the win!

Perfect
Oh, this pack of disposable liners is perfect. I don’t have to worry about any kinds of spills anymore. My kid is out of diapers but still makes huge messes and I haven’t had to wash the carseat in months. This is my third pack and I’m never going back.

work great
These car seat covers worked wonders during a recent road trip. As kids will be sitting for long periods, eating, falling asleep. These gave me peace that the seats would be protected from spills and other accidents considering i wouldnt be able to wash their seats upon reaching our destination in the event they had an accident. I have 3 children in carseats, they all have different seats and the seat covers worked for all of them. they are durable and catch liquid appropriately. best part is they can be tossed after being soiled.

YOU NEED THESE IN YOUR CAR
I got these after my first grandchild was born a few months ago.
I was a mom of babies back in the 80s and early 00s. I remember when we sewed padded fluffy fabric car seat liners that you could remove and wash if baby got sick or had a blowout.
Now, that’s not a thing. I offered to sew one but I guess parents are now advised not to use cloth car seat liner/inserts for some reason.
Well, baby got sick when our whole little family was visiting extended family and she had a blowout diaper. She had diarrhea. I had these in my car and offered them up to the new mom and dad.
They had her carrier with them and, after me showing them how it would go into the seat and not affect the function of the seat at all, they agreed.
Baby had another blowout on the way home, y’all. When we got home, they brought her in and were able to lift her – and the cover itself with her – from the seat and get her to the laundry room, where they were able to get her out of the dirty clothes and into a towel to carry her to the bath.
The lining was able to be thrown away entirely. No washing required.
When we checked her seat itself, it was pretty darn clean. The padded covering was pristine, but we had to clean the back of the main clicking mechanism, which is not covered by the liner. The straps are also not covered by the liner – but those are things that get sanitized easily anyway. And we were able to do that easily and quickly.
From then on, one of these has always been kept right with the car seat itself.
Oh, how I remember the smell that could seep into those car seats when a blowout or puking occurred. You did your best, but it lingered at times. My hack back when my kids were babies was to make a liner from flannel-backed tablecloths and fit that inside the car seats when they were sick. But it was a pricey hack for poor college students, lol.
These liners are not only disposable but so affordable and they are cut to fit into a car seat. No hacking required.
My son and DIL were skeptical and had to “look it up to see if it’s okay” when I first suggested them after she was born. I ordered them anyway. I knew.
Well, once they experienced how it worked out for them, they became believers real quick.
As they drove home and smelled her mess, they dreaded the clean-up. And it was a process (as experienced parents know). From the moment we walked into the house from when it was all done, they spent two hours dealing with the situation: removing clothing from sick baby while liquid leaked from her diaper all over them both as they lifted and held her to get things off, then carrying her downstairs to their bath in a towel that she continued to poop in, to giving her a bath, having her poop in the bath again so they had to give her another bath, then finally got her clean and settled into clean jammies and falling asleep, then had to take turns showering themselves and getting into clean jammies, then assessing what else they needed to do. When he came upstairs two hours later, carrying a load of dirty poopy clothes and towels, my son looked at the carrier and groaned. “How bad is it?” he asked.
His relief at seeing that the seat was clean and mess-free was immense. He physically sagged and uttered thanks out loud as he went off to the laundry room to do laundry.
“Order more of those liners,” he said, as he walked back downstairs.
The next day, they used one again when they took her to the doctor. It was not needed, but they kept it in place until she was feeling better. Then, they folded it up and put it in a ziploc bag and now it’s in the pocket on the back of the front seat.
At a price point of $2.70 each liner, it’s a bit pricey. But this isn’t meant to be a daily use thing. This is, in my opinion, an emergency-only thing. To be used in those times when a kiddo gets sick.
It was waterproof. The absorbing material did hold the liquid. I didn’t see anything leaking when they lifted her from the seat and had it with her to keep it all contained. I saw no drops to the laundry room or near the sink. The garbage where it was deposited didn’t have any liquid at the bottom when I removed it later that night and took it out.
So, yeah, for those times you need it – $2.70 each may be worth it to you. It was to us.
